Syracuse Stars rolls over Bay State Breakers, 7-1

Sean Lawrence made 26 saves to complete the shutout and led Junior Bruins to a 7-0 win against Portland Jr. Pirates.
The win by Junior Bruins clinched the best of three series at 2-0.
Junior Bruins was led by Zachary Malatesta, who tallied one goal. Malatesta scored 9:54 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Junior Bruins.
Junior Bruins' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Portland Jr. Pirates power plays. Portland Jr. Pirates was unable to stop Junior Bruins from sending pucks towards the net, and Junior Bruins eventually piled up 33 shots on goal. The defensemen of Junior Bruins were also effective in Portland Jr. Pirates' zone, and came away with three goals.
Junior Bruins also got points from Matt Manzella, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Bryan Lemos, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Junior Bruins included Brian Bowen, who had two and Zachary Todd and Ryan Cloonan, who scored one goal each.
