The Colorado Junior Eagles are proud to announce that Eagles defenseman, Adam Wammes, has commited to Finlandia University NCAA men's hockey program for the 2017-2018 season. The Petrolia, Ontario native spent two season with the Eagles. In 104 games played, Wammes produced 27 goals and 65 assists for a total of 92 points ranking number one as the all-time defenseman leading scorer in all catagories (7th on the all-time list). Wammes is only the second captain in Colorado Junior Eagles history.

"I'd like to start by thanking the Colorado Junior Eagles organization for the most memorable two years of my junior career. It was an honor to be able to play for Coach Haddon and owners Casey and Jen Bradshaw. Finally, but most importantly, I have to thank Shawn and Stacy Libal along with the Libal and Fanchers for being welcoming, supportive and generous for the 2 years I played for the Eagles organization. I will be attending Finlandia University in the fall. I'm very excited for the opportunity that has been presented to me and other Eagles alumni. Thanks to everyone in Colorado. Once an Eagle always an Eagle," said Wammes closing his chapter with the Eagles organization.

The veteran defenseman is coming off his best two seasons of junior hockey with the Eagles, help lead them to two Mountain division titles and two Thorne Cup finals. Wammes also set a new franchise record for defenseman recording 6 points in one game versus Cheyenne in a 6-4 Eagles win.

"Adam's time here was special, he accomplished a lot and grew on and off the ice. He can be a game changer. His character and determination mixed in with his skill, smarts and the ability to play with an edge, make him the complete package. Adam has the opportunity to take this game as far as he wants to go with it. I am so proud of him and I want to thank him for everything he put into this organization on and off the ice," said Head Coach, Steve Haddon.

That's the Eagles 8th NCAA commitment of the off-season. Stay tuned for more commitments and signings as the off-season continues to heat up. Main Camp starts August 25th at the Noco Ice Center www.coloradojunioreagles.com
