Joshua Boyko made 30 saves to complete the shutout and led the Aurora Tigers to a 3-0 win against the Trenton Golden Hawks.

Aurora was led by Drake Board, who grabbed one goal. Board scored on the power play 16:55 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Aurora. The Tigers had taken the advantage when Trenton's Brandon Marinelli got sent off for cross checking. Ryan Shaw picked up the assist.

Aurora put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Golden Hawks to score on any of their three power plays. The Tigers' defense was surprisingly good. Aurora allows 2.5 goals per game.

Aurora additionally got points from Nolan Dunn, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Alex Formenton also scored for Aurora. More assists for Aurora came via Kyle Locke, Darren Iwai, and Liam Neuman, who each chipped in one.

Trenton's offense operated below its season average. The Golden Hawks average 3.6 goals per game.

The Tigers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Trenton's Jackson McIntosh stopped 20 shots out of the 22 that he faced. The Golden Hawks incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
