Pepe played at Pace University in 2013 and 2014. He had a career .285 batting average and a .344 OBP. In 197 at bats in his career at Pace, he had 56 hits and 17 runs scored.
In 2014, Pepe was selected in Round 31 of the MLB Draft to the Toronto Blue Jays. He playedfor the Blue Jays Rookie organization in the Gulf Coast League in 2014. He batted .304 with a .430 OBP in the 27 games he played in.
In 2015, he played for the Appalachian League and in 23 games he batted .222.
Following his release, Pepe signed with the USPBL to play with the Birmingham Beavers. He is currently hitting .285 with the team and has 37 hits.
