Darrell “Skip” Handelsman is entering his third season as the Field Manager for the Bullfrogs. The Bullfrogs have improved each season under the helm of Coach Handelsman. Last season, the Bullfrogs finished 41-30, a five game increase from Skip’s first season. Handelsman came to the Bullfrogs after spending the previous nine years as the Field Manager, Director of Operations, and Co-Owner of the Fayetteville SwampDogs of the Coastal Plain League. Prior to his stint in Fayetteville, Handelsman spent time as the Field Manager for the Kenosha Kroakers, Waterloo Bucks and Madison Mallards, all of the Northwoods League. During his time in the Northwoods League, Handelsman won two Northwoods League Championships and currently holds the most wins in Northwoods League History. Handelsman was named Northwoods League Manager of the Decade in 2004 and Manager of the Decade in the Coastal Plain League in 2007. Handelsman is originally from California and currently resides in Minnesota. |
