In 2016, Sepanek hit .206 in 34 at-bats with five runs and seven hits and three RBIs. He also stole one base. As a sophomore at Paris Junior College of Texas in 2015, he earned NJCAA First Team All-American honors after hitting .435 with 11 home runs and 40 RBIs in 47 games. He was named the conference’s MVP after leading the league in batting average and slugging percentage (.706). He also earned Region 14 MVP honors. Sepanek was one of 10 players from across the nation in the NJCAA Division I ranks to be named the region’s Marucci Elite Hitter of the Year. After being drafted by the Atlanta Braves in 1984 in the sixth round, his father played seven seasons in the minor leagues, reaching the Triple-A level. His brother, Mickey Sepanek, played baseball at Eastern Michigan University. His sister, Kendall Sepanek, played volleyball at Dallas Baptist University. The 20-year-old is studying kinesiology.
