Ellenbest is making his third Northwoods League stint, all with the Bullfrogs. Last year, the right-hander appeared in two games for Green Bay, splitting his decisions. He picked up his first win May 27th, against the LaCrosse Loggers. In 2015 for Saginaw Valley State, Ellenbest started eight games, hurling two complete games and one shutout. For his numbers, Mike was honored with the GLIAC Freshman Pitcher of the Year award as well as 2nd team All-GLIAC. Ellenbest earned more hardware after his Redshirt Sophomore season, he was named 1st team All-GLIAC after finishing with a 5-4 record and an ERA of 3.52.
