Turhune tossed a scoreless inning in relief with one strikeout against NJIT (3/14) in 2010. He pitched 3.1 scoreless innings in relief, striking out two and allowing only one hit against Cincinnati (4/9). Turhune earned his first collegiate win in his first ever start striking out four batters and allowing only two hits in five scoreless innings against St. Peter’s (5/4).

Turhune played baseball for three seasons while in high school. He was named captain in his senior year. Turhune received First Team All-Conference and All-County honors during his senior campaign as he recorded a .360 batting average with five home runs and 12 doubles at the plate and a 2.88 ERA with 58 strikeouts in 42 innings of work on the mound.
