Zach Reeg was a mid-summer replacement for the Chinooks in 2015. In four brief appearances during which he struck out six hitters in 4.1 innings, Reeg impressed the Lakeshore Staff with his potential as he returns to Division II Augustana in Sioux Falls, SD. While also playing ten games as a freshman in the outfield for the Vikings, Reeg made 14 appearances on the mound. He posted a 3-0 record with one save and a team low 2.20 ERA. The strong 220 pounder from Omaha, NE also struck out 20 and held opponents to a mere .169 batting average.

Reeg is having a strong sophomore campaign as a reliever for the Vikings, posting a 2.25 ERA with 22 strikeouts and a record of 2-1 with 2 saves in 16 appearances. Reeg's workload out of the bullpen with Augustana should provide him with valuable experience prior to his return for a second stint with the Chinooks.
