Marty Testo, originally from Troy, New York, begins his fourth season as the head coach of the Keene Swamp Bats. Before becoming the fifth head coach in Swamp Bats history, Testo served four years as an assistant coach. His primary responsibility was working with the Keene pitching staff.
He brings a wealth of college coaching experience, as he has been apart of the Keene State College baseball coaching staff for 10 seasons. Testo is currently in his fourth year as the Associate Head Coach of the Owls and his sixth season as the pitching coach.
As the pitching coach, Testo has helped Keene State earn back-to-back NCAA Division III Tournament berths in 2007 & 2008. In the 2008 season, Testo led the Owls staff to a conference best 3.29 ERA and had two of their pitchers earn All-LEC honors.
Testo also works in the Keene State College admissions office. Prior to working full-time at Keene State College, Testo served two years as Athletic Director and head baseball coach at nearby Hinsdale High School. He also served five years as head coach of Keene’s Post 4 American Legion team and was a graduate associate coach at Springfield College where he earned a master’s degree. Also, Testo was a four-year pitcher at Keene State College.
