Cain Spangler is a right handed pitcher who returns to the Muskrats for his

second season. In 2015, Cain appeared in 17 games for the Muskrats, going 1-0 and

recording 3 saves. He held an ERA of 2.70 in 17.2 innings of work. Cain did not play

in 2016 in his first season with Florida International University. In 2015, he played

for Palm Beach State College, where he appeared in 9 games and had a 4.76 ERA. He

struck out 18 hitters over 17.0 innings. In 2014, Cain attended Florida Atlantic University

where he was an infielder. He batted .290 and drove in 3 runs in 14 games, 7

of which he started. Cain red-shirted in the 2013 season at Florida Atlantic. The Cape

Coral, Florida native attended Cape Coral High School.There he was a two time Most

Valuable Player. His honors include being named 2011 Under Armour Preseason

All-American and second second-team all-area honors in 2010.
