Ferrell spent his first full season in professional baseball with Chris Paterson’s Sioux Falls Canaries, appearing in 37 games with an 0-1 record, 5.79 ERA, and one save. Allowed 56 hits in 46 2/3 innings with a 35-32 strikeouts-to-walks ratio. Was the outstanding player of the 2015 Texas Winter League, compiling a 4-0 record with an 0.82 ERA, allowing only seven hits in 22 innings. Struck out 34 hitters, allowing only six walks, and a five-inning no-hitter against a team featuring in league’s leading hitter. Ferrell made his professional debut late in the 2014 season for the San Rafael Pacifics of the Pacific Association, appearing in five games. Sported 1-0 record with a 1.68 ERA, striking out 10 batters in 5 1/3 innings. Allowed only four hits and one walk. Pitched for two years at California Baptist, compiling a 3-4 record with a 3.89 ERA in two seasons, primarily coming out of the bullpen. Earned four saves while striking out 49 batters in 44 lifetime innings, allowing 38 hits and walking 28. Also pitched at College of the Desert and Great Oak High School.
