Keating just finished his sophomore season at the University of Southern Mississippi.  As a freshman, Daniel made 36 appearances and batted .278 with 10 RBIs.  Keating attended Gulfport High School where he compiled a career .329 batting average with 11 homeruns and 57 RBIs.  As a senior, he earned All-State, All-Region, All-Area, and All-District.  Daniel was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 37th round of the 2014 MLB Draft.
