Spencer, 23, enters his first complete season in Schaumburg after being signed in August 2015. Spencer batted .208 with three doubles and six runs scored in his 16 games with the Boomers last season. The El Paso, Texas native made his professional debut earlier in 2015 appearing in five games with the Winnipeg Goldeyes of the American Association. Prior to his professional career, Spencer starred at Morehead State University. As a senior 5'10" 185 pound infielder started all 60 games, hitting .340 along with a team high 71 RBIs.
