PJ Phillips returns for his forth season as Admirals manager after taking over the player-manager role for the team in 2016. In 2017, Phillips led the Admirals to their first Pacific Association championship. 

2016

In his first game as player-manager, knocked in the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning during 5-4 comeback win over Pittsburg on July 2 … collected 43 hits, including four home runs and five doubles … his 25 runs scored were tied for seventh-best on team … also knocked in 23 runs with a .240 average … won 21 games as player-manager, of which included a seven-game winning streak from July 24-31.

2015
Hit .302 in 74 games and led the team in runs scored (52), hits (88), RBI (47) and home runs (9) … his 27 doubles set an all-time Pacific Association record in a single season … also stole 13 bases and was only caught three times … collected 10 multi-hit games.

2014

Hit .300 in 52 games during his first season with the Admirals … his 65 hits were fifth on the team, while his 32 RBI were fourth-best among his teammates … also scored 31 runs and stole nine bases … recorded 20 games with at least two hits, including seven games with at least three.
