John joins Wofford College teammate Quintin Pile on the Pump Jacks for their first summer collegiate league seasons. He appeared in eight games with Wofford, including four starts, and struck out 22 batters over 26 innings. 

Caskey recorded a save after pitching four scoreless innings and allowing just two hits against Xavier in February. He appeared in three games as a true freshman, and struck out two over 3.1 innings. 

He was named an All-District pitcher as a senior at Byron Nelson High School after compiling a 6-2 record with a 2.40 ERA and 65 strikeouts. He also earned All-State Academic Team honors.
