Joey joins the Pump Jacks along with Keene State College teammates Mike Crimi and Eddie Dionne. He’s spent three seasons at Keene and has started in the outfield the last two springs. He starred as a junior batting .368 with 11 RBI and 19 runs scored, and collected 46 hits in 125 at bats while striking out just six times all season. His spring performance earned him an All-Little East second-team selection.
In 32 games, he had six triples, five doubles, and 10 walks, a .496 slugging percentage, and a .409 on-base percentage. He led the team in average, slugging percentage, at bats, and hits.
Libby got his first taste of summer collegiate ball last summer when he played 10 games with the Beverly Recs of the North Shore Baseball League in New England. He hit a team-high .448 in 29 at bats, collecting six RBI, six runs scored, three stolen bases, and 13 hits. His five doubles and lone triple set his summer slugging percentage at .690, which ranked first on the roster.
As a sophomore at Keene, he hit .315 in 30 games with 23 RBI and 22 runs. His slugging percentage rested at .468 after leading the team with three home runs, and he collected eight doubles and a triple in 124 at bats. He played in 14 games as a freshman in 2013 and picked up four hits, five runs, and an RBI.
