Dilon comes to East Texas after manning center field for Central Oklahoma University the last two seasons. He finished out the 2015 season with a .325 batting average, eight home runs, and 25 RBI. In 42 starts, Argo recorded a team-high 55 total hits, including 11 doubles and two triples which brought his slugging percentage to .556.
Dilon posted impressive numbers during his freshman season as well, hitting .356 with seven home runs, 39 RBI, and 34 runs in 47 starts, and he was second on the team in walks (30). His glove has proven to be reliable as he has committed just four errors in 94 games over his two-year college career.
Argo has a season of summer collegiate ball under his belt after playing with the Redding Colt 45’s of the Far West League in 2014. He finished up his summer in California with a .336 batting average through 39 games, which was tied for the team lead. Nineteen of his 50 hits went for extra bases, including 10 doubles, eight triples, and a home run. His 26 RBI led the team and his 22 stolen bases were good for second.
Dilon was originally a player in the University of Oklahoma’s baseball program, and he redshirted during the 2011-2012 season before opting to transfer to Central Oklahoma. He earned All-conference honors as a senior at Jenks High School in Oklahoma.
