Nick comes to East Texas after a successful true-freshman season at Oral Roberts. He posted a .287 batting average and collected 27 hits, 14 RBI, and scored 15 runs in 94 at bats. He also notched five doubles and was a perfect five for five in stolen base attempts. Roark and Pump Jacks’ pitcher Bryce Howe were teammates this spring with the Golden Eagles.
In high school, Roarke helped the Broken Arrow Tigers to consecutive district championships in 2012, 2013 and 2014, as well as an appearance in the state championship game in 2012. Following his senior season, his career batting average stood at .401, and he owned 30 doubles, 13 triples, and 10 home runs. He was named to the 2014 All-Metro first team by Tulsa World.
