Hamilton is a rising red-shirt sophomore at Florida Gulf Coast University. He logged three appearances for the Eagles in 2015 including a start against Central Michigan. In total, Hamilton had 4IP/3ER/1K in his first collegiate campaign.

He graduated from Jupiter High School (FL) in 2013 and played for Head Coach Andy Mook. He reached the state final four his senior season. He played in Perfect Game tournaments in high school and was selected as a Florida All-Regional Honorable Mention pick in 2013.
