Matt Cartwright retruns for his second season at the helm for the Kitsap BlueJackets. Matt was formally the recruit coordinator at Redlands Community College in Oklahoma and played at both Redlands and Morehead State University. Cartwright also pitched for the BlueJackets one season, setting the single-season saves record. During his time at Redlands, the pitching staff was in the Top 15 in the nation in ERA. Before being named the head coach of the BlueJackets, Cartwright was coaching in both the Puget Sound Collegiate League and for the Thurston County Senators, giving him strong familiarity with the MACK Athletics system. He also had a stint playing for the West Coast Guns. Matt has his Master’s Degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
