Nick just completed his freshman year at Clark College in Vancouver, Wash. He was 2-1 with a 3.75 ERA in 11 games, with 40 strikeouts in 36 innings. He was selected by Boston in the 2015 MLB draft in the 31st round as the 921st overall pick.

He is a 6-foot-4, 205-pound freshman from Tigard High School. He was an honorable-mention Pacific Conference all-star at Tigard in 2014. He also played football at Tigard, where he was first-team all-conference and first-team all-state as a defensive end and honorable mention all-state on offense as a tight end.
