Last summer, Mike Concato was the ace of the Schooners’ staff, and the only Mystic pitcher to earn Player of the Week honors. The Woodbridge native continued to impress this spring at Dartmouth College, where he was named to the All-Ivy second team. Mike was especially impressive during conference play, where his only loss came during a complete game 1-0 defeat against Cornell. On the season, Mike did not allow a home run, and finished second in the Ivy League in walks per 9 innings (8 BB/34 K in 55 innings). As a freshman, Mike was named Rookie of the Year, and became the first Dartmouth hurler since 1988 to throw two shutouts in a season.
