Connor Lind started in 37 games as a freshman for Northwestern. Although only batting .222, his coach, Paul Stevens said, “He's a polished hitter that we feel can anchor the third base position for several years to come.” Lind had 10 RBIs in 26 hits in 117 at bats. Defensively, Lind proved to be consistent, only committing three errors on 87 chances. 

Coming from the same high school as current big leaguers Cameron Maybin and Chris Naverson, Lind helped lead T.C Roberson H.S to four Mountain Athletic Conference (MAC) championships. He was named to the All-Western North Carolina first team his senior season, while also collecting all-conference honors as a junior and senior.
