David began his professional career after being drafted there times: by the Los Angeles Angels of Ana-heim in the 44th round of the 2008 MLB June Amateur Draft from Ballston Lake HS (Burnt Hills, NY), the San Francisco Giants in the 30th round of the 2011 MLB June Amateur Draft from University of Connecti-cut (Storrs, CT) and the Washington Nationals in the 18th round of the 2012 MLB June Amateur Draft from University of Connecticut (Storrs, CT).

Fischer compiled a 4.67 ERA over three seasons in the Washington Nationals’ system, posting an overall record of 8-4.

David was a starter in college but was used mostly in relief as a pro, making only eight starts over his three years.
