Evan is a left-handed hitting centerfielder from UC Irvine, where he has attended school since 2013.

Prior to his stay at UC Irvine, Cassolato was part of the Cathedral Catholic program in San Diego County. During his prep career, he was named the Defensive Player of the Year in baseball and also lettered as a football player.

Evan was named to the San Diego Union Tribune All-Academic Team in 2011 and 2012, and he was the High School Sports Association Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Evan had a big game for UC Irvine this year on April 19th, when he came off the bench and hit a two RBI single, tying the game and giving Stone his first earned run of the year.

“When it was my time to go up there, I wanted to stay aggressive and do the best thing I could to contribute for the team,” said Cassolato.
