Camardella made his professional debut with the Bisbee Blue (Pecos League) last season, hitting .304 (21 for 87) in 23 games. Played 16 games at first base, two in centerfield and one behind the plate, where he threw out the only base runner attempting to steal on him. Hit two home runs with 19 RBIs. Recorded .442 on base percentage and .949 OPS. Struck out 20 times.
2014: Carmardella began the year in the California Winter League, leading his team with a .390 average (16 for 41), three home runs, and 17 RBIs. Made only one error and struck out only six times.
2013: Played at Division II Dominican College, batting .321 for the Chargers in 50 games (53 for 165). Had .431 on base percentage. Hit two home runs, 10 doubles, driving in 30 runs and scoring 38. Stole 10 bases. Named all Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference-Second Team. Committed seven errors at first base.
2012: Hit .346 in 49 games (56 for 162), with two home runs and 33 runs driven in and scored. Collected 26 doubles to lead CCAC. Walked 29 times. Stole six bases in eight attempts. Committed six errors at first base. Named All-CCAC First team with top marks on the Chargers in batting average, doubles, slugging, and on base percentage.
2011: Hit .266 (42 for 158) with two home runs in 44 games. Drove in and scored 25 runs. Hit 14 doubles. Walked 13 times, struck out 33. Committed six errors. Named All-CCAC Second Team.
