Rowdy Andrews started all 39 games in which he played for the Eckerd College Tritons in their 2015 campaign, showing solid fielding ability with a .927 fielding percentage in 193 chances at shortstop. Andrews also batted .268 on 42 hits including seven doubles and two homeruns. Conference competition is where Andrews played his best ball, hitting five of his doubles against conference foes and accounting for half of his hits, on 17 in conference starts, hitting from the lead-off spot mainly. 

In his sophomore year at Eckerd, Andrews posted his best numbers. He starting in all of his team’s 49 games, where he hit .283 with nine doubles, one triple, and two homeruns, while leading his team with 39 runs scores from the lead-off spot.
