T.J Dixon began his career in 2014 with the Bulldogs as a standout freshman. He played in 57 games, 54 of those he started in centerfield. He batted .260 with 20 RBIs. He also showed his speed by stealing 19 bases, leading Samford in 2014. Had a freshman year worthy of Freshman All-American and Southern Conference’s All-Freshman Team honors. 

This past season, Dixon increased his batting average to .286 while knocking in 17 runs for the Bulldogs, scoring another 46 runs himself. Dixon’s 61 hits included 9 doubles, four triples, and three homeruns. On top of his ability to swing the bat, Dixon was a menace on the base paths stealing 22 bases in 24 attempts. He was also a defensive standout for Samford committing only one error in 103 chances, while gunning out 5 runners from the outfield.
