Matt Smith is beginning his first season as the Manager of the Gulls. Matt was the hitting coach for the Evansville Otters of the Forntier league last season. Matt played baseball at Riverside City College (1990-1991) and for Texas Tech University (1992-1993) before playing a season professionally with the Thunder Bay Whiskey Jacks of the Northern League (1994). He has a degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Texas Tech and resides in San Diego, California during the offseason.
