Loomis, from nearby Cashmere, WA, is returning "home" to the Cascade foothills after two seasons at Spokane Falls CC.

While in high school, Loomis helped lead the Cashmere Bulldogs to two state championships, including one during his senior year in which he was also named the 1A/B State Player of the Year by the Washington Baseball Coaches Association. 

During that senior season, Loomis went 10-0 with a 0.67 ERA and struck out 81 batters.
