As a senior pitcher at Granada HS (Livermore, CA), Olmo was 11-1 for a team that was ranked as high as #2 in the country by Max Preps. His ERA was 1.58 over 66 innings pitched. He was named 1st Team All EBAL and California Regional Honorable Mention by Perfect Game. In the summer of 2013, Olmo played in the West Coast League for the Klamath Falls Gems. Olmo redshirted during his freshman year at College of San Mateo. He saw limited action for the Merchants in 2014, as a minor arm injury cut his season short. He transferred to Ohlone College in Fremont, CA where he is now in the starting rotation. As of 4/16/15, Olmo has 10 appearances and 33 innings pitched. Over that span, he is 3-1 with 1 save, 22 K's and an ERA of 1.62.
