| Dan Lipari is in his first season as a volunteer assistant coach on the Youngstown State baseball staff. Lipari, the younger brother of current pitching coach Tom Lipari, comes to YSU with plenty accomplishments and experience on the diamond. His duties at YSU will consist of assisting with the pitching staff, daily operations of the program, and the Youngstown State Baseball School. Lipari was a three-year letterwinner at Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa, from 2006-08. As a senior, he appeared in 22 games, which ranked second on the team, and helped lead Morningside to the GPAC Tournament Championship. His 22 outings in 2008 also ranks as the third most in school history for a single season. He played under his brother in 2006 and 2007. After his playing days, Lipari was named the pitching coach for Omaha Creighton Prep Junior Varsity Legion Team in the summer of 2009. Along with becoming a college coach, he also assisted in youth baseball development in Sioux City. Lipari earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from Morningside. | |||||||
