Pearson is an independent baseball veteran whose professional career started in 2007 with the Chico Outlaws of the Golden Baseball League. He has compiled a lifetime 25-19 record with a 5.77 ERA in 145 games, starting 32, with the Outlaws and Yuma Scorpions of the Golden League, the Rockford Riverhawks of the Frontier League, the Fort Worth Cats of the American Association, the Amarillo Dillas of the United League and American Association, the Sioux City Explorers of the American Association, the San Rafael Tropics of the North American Baseball League (former name of the United League), and most recently the Laredo Lemurs of the American Association. Was 1-3 in six starts for the Lemurs in 2013, posting a 6.04 ERA but striking out 30 batters in 25 1/3 innings. His best season was in 2010 with Amarillo in the United League, where he posted a 6-1 record with a 2.85 ERA, three saves in 35 appearances, 41 innings, 30 hits allowed, 55 strikeouts and 15 walks. Also excelled in 2009 with Rockford, posting a 1-0 record with two saves in six appearances, allowing only two hits in 7 1/3 innings and no runs with an 8-1 strikeouts-to-walks ratio. Has nifty 297-120 lifetime strikeouts-to-walks ratio. Was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 30th Round of the 2006 Summer Draft out of Northern Colorado, where he was Division I All-American Independent Second Team selection in 2005 and honorable mention in 2006. Posted a lifetime 12-13 record for the Bears.
