A junior at Pacific Lutheran, Chris was named an honorable mention Northwest Conference all-star.
He pitched the first 9-inning no-hitter in school history against Willamette on March 1 and was named the Northwest Conference Pitcher of the Week for Feb. 24-March 2 for that accomplishment.
Chris was 5-2 with a 2.91 ERA in 14 appearances for the Knights in 2013, with 37 strikeouts in 52.2 innings. He was second-team all-West Coast League. Chris also played briefly for the Knights in 2012 and was 0-0, 1.12 in three appearances, with a save, six strikeouts in eight innings. He was also 1-for-2 with an RBI as a DH.
He was 2-3, 4.89 in 16 appearances as a PLU sophomore in 2013, with three saves and 37 strikeouts in 42.1 innings. He was Northwest Conference Pitcher of the Week for Feb. 18-24 after allowing no runs on six hits over eight innings in two appearances, with 14 strikeouts. He was 3-3 with a 4.40 ERA and 40 strikeouts in 59.1 innings at PLU as a freshman in 2012.
A four-year letterman in baseball and football at Rochester High in Centralia, Chris was also a two-time Evergreen League MVP, and a three-time all-state pitcher and outfielder at RHS before enrolling at PLU.
