Lott is a starting pitcher who recently played his junior season at the University of North Florida. Lott's first career start came in 2007 against Georgia Southern before encountering an elbow injury which kept him off the mound for parts of the next two seasons. His 2009 season was highlightened by a strong start against the University of Michigan in which he struck out four Spartan hitters. In 2010, Lott enjoyed a healthy season for the Ospreys leading the team with a record of 7-3 while striking out 65 in 85.1 innings.
