Dearth will begin his first summer in the Northwoods League after his third spring in the Horizon League where he has bounced around between the bullpen and the starting rotation. Through 18 appearances - five of them starts - he is 1-6 with an 8.47 ERA in 34 innings. Last season as a junior, Dearth made 13 appearances, 10 starts, and posted a 4.96 ERA in 52.2 innings. The southpaw logged more than 40 innings of experience as a freshman. Dearth played with the Elmira Pioneers of the New York Collegiate Baseball League during the 2008 summer. The Finance major from Bellevue, Ohio, earned four letters at Bellevue High School and was an Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association Academic All-Ohioan.
