Tom McDermott is a junior left-handed pitcher for the Le Moyne College Dolphins.  In his third year with the Dolphins, McDermott pitched well achieving a 4-2 record with a 4.60 ERA. The lefty appeared in 21 games, starting 4, and logged 47.0 innings giving up 24 earned runs on 41 hits, 23 walks, and 29 strikeouts. Opponents hit .246 off McDermott in 2010. In the summer of 2009, he pitched well for Sanford, posting a 3.27 ERA in 16 appearances out of the bullpen. Native of Amsterdam, New York, McDermott played his high school ball at Amsterdam High School. He joins Dolphin teammate Matt Marra on the Sanford Mainers this summer.
