Sam Mulroy was a mainstay behind the plate while batting third in the lineup all season long for the Princeton University Tigers in 2010. Mulroy hit .300 on the season with eight home runs and 31 RBI. His 31 RBI led the team, his eight home runs were tied for the team lead and his .300 batting average was third-best on the team. His 36 runs scored, 48 hits, 18 extra-base hits and .525 slugging percentage were all also team highs.

After the season, Mulroy was awarded two of the team’s year-end awards. Mulroy received the William J. Clarke Award and the Coach’s Baseball Trophy. The Clarke Award is awarded annually to the member of the Princeton varsity baseball team who demonstrates the greatest proficiency in baseball by achieving the highest score in hitting, fielding and outstanding plays. The Coach's Baseball Trophy is awarded annually to the sophomore member of the Princeton varsity baseball squad who, during the season, demonstrates the greatest aptitude and improvement.
