John Farrell is a pitcher from The College of William & Mary.  In 2010 was a primary reliever for his team as he appeared in 20 games out of the pen.  Finished the season 3-3 with a 3.99 ERA and 6 saves, striking out an impressive 56 batters in just 38.1 innings pitched.  In high school he was named the best pitcher in the conference in 2009.  He was also named to the All-Scholastic team.  John posted a 0.70 ERA during his high school career and averaged 2.0 strikeouts an inning for his career.  He took part in a pair of prestigious national summer showcase events at the 2009 Area Code Games in Long Beach, Calif., and the East Coast Pro in Ft. Myers, Fla.  John was born in Andover, Mass. to John and Laurie Farrell.  John is also college teammates with Gulls catcher Chris Forsten.
