Right handed pitcher Sahil Bloom will be joining the Bay Sox this summer from Stanford University.

Bloom was a four-year letterman in baseball at Weston High School.  He was also a three-time Dual County League All Star (2007-09) and a two-time Metrowest All Star (2007, 2009).  Named to the Boston Globe and the Boston Herald’s All-Scholastic team in 2009, Bloom was also the league’s MVP during his senior year.

Bloom set the school record for season and career ERA, strikeouts, opponent batting average and wins.  He appeared in the Division III playoffs all four years, compiling a 23-5 record in 2007, the school’s best ever mark.  Bloom’s 61 wins from 2006 to 2009 were the most ever for the school over a four-year stretch.
