Dan Haugh will be rejoining the team this summer for the 2010 season after a very successful start to his college career at Wheaton College.
As a freshman, Haugh started all 42 games in the infield for Wheaton, finishing the year with an impressive .350 average, 7 home runs and 40 RBI. Haugh’s stats earned him honors as an ECAC All-Star and NEWMAC Rookie of the Year.
In 2009, Haugh tied for ninth in school history in home runs. He notched six RBI in his second game at the Coast Guard on April 4 to tie with the third-highest total in program annals. Haugh also tied for fifth with four runs in the second contest versus MIT on March 28, and twice tied for fifth with three walks in a game.
“Dan was with us last year and was a pretty good player,” said Bay Sox General Manager Kirk Fredriksson, “He’s a grinder. He has as much energy Fredriksson, “He’s a grinder. He has as much energy on day 41 as he did on day 1."
Originally from Andover, Massachusetts, Haugh attended high school at St. John's Prep.
