Green attended Cherokee Trail High School in Aurora, Colorado, where he lettered three years in baseball, three years in basketball and one year in football. In baseball, he was a member of the team that was the 2007 state champions.
Named 4A state MVP and a Louisville Slugger preseason All-American, Green was also Cougar Athlete of the Year in 2009. That same year he was drafted by the Colorado Rockies after hitting .427 with 32 runs and 28 RBIs in his senior season.
In 2008, Green hit an impressive .617, was named to the principal’s honor roll and graduated with AVID with distinction.
“Micah is highly recommended and a very good athlete,” said Bay Sox General Manager Kirk Fredriksson, “He’s going to be one of the key guys for us in the outfield this year.”
