Corey is a transfer to the Georgia Southwestern State University baseball program from Brookdale, New Jersey Community College where he had eleven saves in 23 games in the 2009 campaign. He struck out 26 batters in 27 innings, establishing an ERA of 1.67. He was named the Outstanding Pitcher of the Year at Brookdale where he also received recognition as All-Region and All-Conference.
