Mario is a transfer from Blinn Community College in Brenham, Texas. As a freshman in 2007, he hit .316 amassing a dozen doubles and five home runs. Mario was nominated to the Junior College All-Star Game in the fall of 2008. Last year he was voted team captain. Before college, Mario led Langham Creek High School to back-to-back 20+ win seasons.
