Named Field Manager on October 24, 2007 enters his fifth season coaching in Amarillo and third as manager. Bogart originally joined the Dillas coaching staff in 2006 serving as the Pitching Coach, under then Field Manager Buddy Biancalana, for two seasons before being promoted to his current position. Prior to joining the Dillas he served as the Head Baseball Coach at The Villages High School in Florida, in 2005. In 2009, Bogart finished his second full season as the field manager leading the Dillas to their second-consecutive United League Championship. 2008 marked the first championship in Amarillo since 1999 when the Dillas were crowned champions of the now-defunct Texas-Louisiana League.
After a standout collegiate pitching career at Saint Leo University (FL), where he still holds the school record for single-season Earned Run Average (ERA), he earned a spot pitching for the Sioux Falls Canaries of the Northern League in 1993.
No stranger to Amarillo, Bogart pitched against the Dillas as a member of the Texas-Louisiana Leagues' original Mobile Bay Sharks (AL) and Abilene Prairie Dogs (TX) from 1994-1995. He finished the 1994 season in the Texas-Louisiana League’s Top 10 for Earned Runs Average (ERA) and complete games with Mobile.
After ending his playing career, Bogart returned to his alma mater as Pitching Coach and worked with 11 pitchers who were eventually drafted or signed professional contracts, with a Major League team. During this time his teams were a combined 179-95 for a .660 winning percentage.
He and his wife, Barbie, reside in Inverness Florida during the off-season. The couple has four children Cody, Austin, Garrett, and Carly.
