Schrom joins the AirHogs for his first season in the American Association in 2010. Schrom spent 2009 with the Arizona Rangers, the Texas Rangers Rookie level team, where he went 2-0 with a 3.71 ERA in 26.2 innings pitched. In Arizona, Schrom recorded 34 strikeouts with only 9 walks.

Schrom played his colligate career as a Lumberjack of Stephen F. Austin State University. He tallied his best year in 2007 going 5-3 with a 4.64 ERA. In 95.0 he fanned 75 batters.
