Matt Green returns for his second season with the AirHogs after tallying a 7-6, 5.49 ERA season in 2009.  In 17 starts, Green pitched 101.2 innings and notched 100 strikeouts and two complete games.

Green was selected by Arizona Diamondbacks in 2nd Round (49th overall) of 2005 Major League Baseball draft.  He spent five seasons in the Diamondback’s organization, reaching AAA in 2008. Green had a career season in 2007, pitching for AA Mobile where he went 12-6 with a 3.95 ERA. In 148 innings pitched, Green struck out 128 while only allowing 55 free passes.

Green played collegiate ball at the University of Louisiana-Monroe and went 10-2 with a 2.65 ERA his last year in 2005.
