Jake Leonhardt joins Grand Prairie after pitching for the Continental Baseball League’s Bay Area Toros in 2009 where he posted a 1.64 ERA in 13 appearances.

In 2007-2008, Leonhardt pitched in the Houston Astros farm system at the Single A level, appearing in 45 games and tallying 91 strikeouts.

Selected by Houston Astros in 37th Round of the 2007 amateur entry draft, Leonhardt played collegiately at Stephen F. Austin University.
