Returned for his second season with the Miners…Finished the season with a 5-2 record and a 1.76 ERA…Led the team in appearances with 41, tied for fourth most in the league…His 1.76 ERA was 0.48 runs lower than the leader, but finished 10.2 innings shy of qualifying for the ERA title…Finished the season as the Miners all-time leader in appearances (87) and ERA (2.32)…Put together a scoreless streak of 22.2 innings over 12 games from 6/21/09-7/26/09, the longest such streak in team history…After ending his record-setting scoreless streak by surrendering a single run, immediately rattled off another scoreless streak of 11.1 innings from 7/31/09-8/20/09….From 6/21/09 through the end of the season, was 3-0 with three saves and a 0.56 ERA in 48.1 innings of work.

One of seven Miners named to the West Division All-Star team…Made 46 regular season appearances, second most in the league behind teammate Griffin Bailey…His 61 strikeouts were the most ever by a Miners reliever in a single season…Did not allow a run from 7/20-8/05 (13.1 IP)…Grounded into a 4-6 fielder’s choice in his only at bat of the season in Rockford in a game Southern Illinois lost 18-12…Earned his first professional win on 5/28 against Gateway

Played for the NBC World Series champion Havasu Heat along with former Miners pitcher Nick Starnes…With the Heat in 2007, went 4-0 with a 1.98 ERA, striking out 41 batters while walking only nine and holding opponents to a .172 batting average…Graduated from Missouri Baptist University…In senior season at MBU, posted a 4-2 record with four saves in 13 games in 2007…In 2005, named to American Midwest Conference all-conference team and academic all-conference team…Born in Stockton, Calif.
